FIELD Carmel (late of Kilmacud) - died at Beaumont Hospital on the January 6, 2011. For the past year Carmel has borne her illness stoically and with dignity. We had hoped to share more time together, but it was not to be. Her life has been blessed with a deep love of family. She gave immeasurable love and was loved utterly in return. Bridge has been her constant companion. We thank the bridge communities of Kilmacud, Mt. Merrion and Foxrock for the friendship and hours of pleasure they shared with her, and her coffee friends. Her husband Jack, has lost his love and constant companion of 59 years, her children Barry, Emer, Crionna, John and Aisling and their husbands and wives Joan, George, Tom, Caps and John cannot begin to imagine life without her. Nana Carmel will be missed by her 14 adored grandchildren and great-grandchild; deeply regretted by her sisters Sheila and Betty and brother Maurice and by all her friends, neighbours and family, especially her devoted nieces. Suaimhneas síoraí di. All welcome to her repose at 42 Wellington Road, Ballsbridge Dublin 4 on Friday from 5.00 o'c to 8.00 o'clock Funeral Mass tomorrow (Saturday) in St. Laurence's Church, Kilmacud at 10.00 o'clock followed by burial in Deansgrange Cemetery.
