QUIGLEY, Elsa (née Murphy) - September 6, 2011 in Chicago after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. A native of Rathgar, Dublin. Elsa was a registered nurse for over 50 years. She trained at Whipps Cross Hospital in London before working in Belfast and Dublin. She came to Chicago in 1957 and married her beloved husband Sean in 1961. Elsa worked for many years at Little Company of Mary Hospital where she retired as a hospice nurse. She was the daughter of the late Connie and Desmond Murphy. Elsa was the devoted mother of three sons: the late Philip, Jack (Julie) and Mark. Cherished grandmother of Ana, she is sadly missed by her sister Constance Murphy (Dublin). Elsa is warmly remembered by sisters-in-law Tess (Hugh) McGloin (Dublin) and Angela Quigley (Tipperary) along with fond cousins and many wonderful friends. Mass of the Resurrection and Christian burial took place today, September 10, 2011.
