WOODS (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and formerly of Athenry and Salthill, Galway) - January 8, 2009, Dr Desmond (UCG 1948), in his 86th year, after a lengthy illness borne with dignity and fortitude (peacefully), at Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, Halifax; mourned by his loving wife Hilma, daughter Sheila, sons Kevin, Eric and Brian, grandchildren, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, his brother Jim, family and friends. Funeral after Requiem Mass at St Benedict's Church, Halifax on Wednesday, January 14, followed by cremation.Rest in peace.
