O'CONNELL (née McEntee) Catherine (Een), Esker Lawns, Lucan, Co Dublin. Died on May 17, 2008 - On this the first anniversary of Een's passing, her husband, Pearse, children; David, Ronan, Shauna and Fiona together with her extended family wish to thank sincerely all those who sympathised with them following the sad passing of a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. To all those who attended the removal or funeral Mass, those who visited us, sent letters, Mass Cards, cards of condolence and flowers and all those who prayed for us, we are deeply grateful. A special word of thanks to our dear relatives, friends and neighbours who were towers of strength to us all at a sad and harrowing time. Sincere thanks also to very Rev. Joe Coyne P.P. Lucan and his wonderful team. They turned a sad occasion into a celebration of Een's life. To the devoted doctors and staff of the Oncology Unit of St. James's Hospital, we extend our deepest gratitude for their tireless and dedicated work. To the Board of Management and staff of St. Mary's B.N.S, Maynooth, to Lucan Sarsfields GAA club and to Lucan Golf Club, we offer sincere thanks. A special word of thanks to the nuns and staff colleagues of Een in Maryfield nursing home, Chapelizod. Lastly, many thanks to the large number of friends who travelled from the Tullycorbett - Ballybay area of Co. Monaghan, from Monaghan Town, Belfast and other distant places. Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deepest appreciation and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
