KILKELLY, Gertrude (née O'Neill), late of O'Neills Hotel, Eyre Street, Galway always known with great affection as Auntie. On this first anniversary of Aunties death on December 29, 2008 her niece Ann and nephew-in-law Dr. Pat Irwin (Shankill), nephew Captain Michael Conneely and niece-in-law Joan (Cork) together with the extended family will always remember with sincere appreciation those who sympathised and supported them at such a sad time. To all our family and friends who travelled to Galway to stand beside us while we laid our gentle Aunt to rest a very special word of thanks. Auntie spend her last number of years in the tender and loving care of the staff of the Royal Hospital, Donnybrook (ward 7), your gentleness with Auntie will always be much appreciated by her family, especially Audrey who was like a daughter to her. To all those who send Mass cards, floral wreaths, letters and who telephoned our thanks. Also remembering today Gertie's late husband, Paddy Kilkelly (past captain of Corinthians rugby club, Galway and International soccer player). who died on August 7, 1986. We trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted with our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions."If you were a tear I would not cry
for fear of loosing you."
