GARVEY, Teri (Teresa) (Dublin, Templemore and formerly of Arklow) - July 29, 2009, surrounded by her family, in the Nightingale Unit, Blackrock Clinic, where she was treated with exemplary care, thoughtfulness and dignity, after an illness borne with incredible but typical courage, determination and her keen sense of humour. Dearly loved wife of Declan d'Estelle Roe and loving mother of Dabheoc, Dallan and Yseult, beloved daughter of the late Peter and Brigid Garvey and sister of Peter, Breda and Kevin. Deeply regretted also by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, niece, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and the wider family circle, and because exuded and attracted such love and affection by a vast number of friends and her colleagues in education, journalism and broadcasting. Teri will be waked at our home today (Thursday) from 2.30 p.m. - 7.30 p.m. Celebration of Teri's life tomorrow (Friday) at 12 Noon in the Church of St Philip & St James, Cross Avenue, Booterstown, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium. No flowers or Mass cards please, but donation boxes will be available for the Irish Hospice Foundation and the Dr David Fennelly Cancer Research Fund, and especially, at Teri's request and in her name, blood donations to the Irish Blood Transfusion Service.
