HENRY (Jim) (Cootehall, Boyle, Co. Roscommon) (Died September 12, 2005) - Jim's sister Chris, brother Michael, niece Lorraine, nephews Michael and John, sister-in-law Doreen and all his cousins wish to thank most sincerely all who sympathised with them on the death of Jim. Our sincere gratitude to all who called to the house, attended the wake, the removal, funeral Mass and the burial. Thanks to Her Excellency President Mar McAleese for the presence of her aid de camp at the funeral and for her and Dr Martin's visits subsequently. Mass Cards, letters of sympathy and floral tributes, along with many who travelled long distances are all deeply appreciated. Jim died in Gardenhill Nursing Home and the loving care he received there and at Sligo General Hospital was witnessed by so many who kindly visited him. Drs McCarthy and Cogan and nurses did more than their share to comfort Jim; also chemists Margaret and Fintan Cox and staff Supt. Commons Garda Tiernan and the Boyle GardaĆ who afforded his cortege a dignified passing; Fr Brian Conlon and so many concelebrating priests commended him lovingly to his Maker and Saviour. With Altar adorned and servers attentive, David, Mae and Choir sang in heartfelt unison; The Northern Board and St Michael's G.A.A. Club touchingly saluted their Club mentor with a heartfelt farewell. Ian Cooney eulogised him on the Shannonside Northern Sound. Undertakers Dermot and Mike McLoughlin orchestrated his removal across next door and, with the gravediggers, laid him gently to rest in beautiful Ardcarne, as David O'Dowd sang one last farewell. The Vintners Association, Boyle, have lost their fellow; the Dolan family of the Bush Hotel, their friend of a lifetime, and Sheamus McGlynn of the Moorings was typical of so many "Cootehalls" and further afield who could not do enough. The unsung kindness of so countless many is recorded in our hearts, and prayer of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. First Anniversary Mass in St Michael's Church, Cootehill on Sunday, September 10, at 11 o'clock
