AHEARNE (late of "Richmond", Raheen, Limerick) - On the First Anniversary of Eddie's death, October 4, 2009, his wife Bina, sons Eamonn, Enda, Alan, Brian, Barry and Mark, his brothers Michael, Tom and Garry and his extended family members wish to thank very sincerely all those who sympathised with us on our great loss. We thank especially all those who attended the removal, Requiem Mass and burial. Thank you to the people who sent Mass Cards, sympathy cards and letters of condolence. Special thanks to Fr. Michael Noonan P.P. who officiated at the funeral Mass and to his concelebrants Fr. Jeremiah Brouder, C.C., Fr. Eamonn Fitzgibbon V.G., Fr. Jerry Hickey O.S.A., Fr Adrian Egan C.S.s.R., and Fr. Seamus Devitt C.S.s.R. Thanks to Olive O'Brien for her beautiful singing and to her accompanist. Thank you to Mr. Gerald McGreal and the staff of the Mercy Hospital, Cork. Thank you to Dr. Jim Fehily and Dr. Richard O'Flaherty who treated Eddie during his illness. Thanks to the home care nurses especially Martina and Edel who looked after Eddie with dignity and good humour. Thanks to the staff of Milford Care Centre for their wonderful compassionate care and attention. Thank you to John Thompson and staff for their expert handling of the funeral arrangements. As it would be impossible to thank every body individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
