FLANAGAN (Mary) (née O'Hora) (Killenard, Portarlington, County Laois) (Died December 18, 2008) - Mary's husband Pat, her sons Fergus, Garrett, Conor and Niall, her daughter Sinead, her brothers Martin, Paddy, Mick and Kevin, her sisters Kay, Nell and Alice and all members of Mary's immediate family would like to sincerely thank all of those people who sympathised with them on their recent bereavement including those who called to and telephoned the family home in Killenard, attended the funeral Mass and burial and gifted such thoughtful cards and letters of sympathy. Their support provided a great comfort to the family at such a sad time. The family would also like to express their thanks to all of the medical professionals and carers who provided endless care and support to Mary during her illness. A special thanks to Dr. Anna Gullane and staff in Portlaoise, Professor Carney in the Mater Private Hospital, public health nurses Sonya Brennan and Mary Gormally and all of the local public health team, Marie McEvoy and all of the hospice team in Portlaoise Hospital, all of the staff of the Mater Private hospital in Dublin, all of the staff of Portlaoise Hospital, the "twilight nurses" from the Irish Cancer Society who nursed Mary at night and all of the friendly staff in the Cuisle Centre in Portlaoise. Thanks also to all of the helpful staff in Adrian Dunne's Pharmacy in Portarlington. A special thanks to Fr. Tom O'Byrne and Fr. Tom Dooley for their spiritual guidance and comfort to Mary during her illness and for Fr. Tom O'Byrne's kind words and prayers at the funeral Mass in Killenard Church and at the burial afterwards. Thanks also to Catriona O'Hora who organised and participated in the beautiful music played at the funeral Mass. The family would like to thank A. Comerford Lynch Undertakers in Stradbally who demonstrated such compassion and professionalism in carrying out the funeral arrangements. Finally, the family would like to express their deep appreciation of those people who so generously donated to the Cuisle Centre in Portlaoise. As it is impossible to name and thank every person individually, the family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to those people who have not been named by way of this acknowledgement. Mass will be offered for all of your intentions. Mary's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated at St. John's Church, Killenard on Sunday January 18, at 10.30am.
