O'CONNELL (née Leahy) Mary (Rathfarnham, Dublin 14) - February 25, 2010, peacefully, at home with her loving family following an illness bravely faced with strength and dignity. Darling wife of Noel, wonderful Mum to Susan and Michele and proud granny of Harry, Jack and baby Cara. Very sadly missed by her family, loving sisters Mairead and Helen, son-in-law David, Michele's fiancé Pete, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, extended family and a wide circle of great friends. Rest in peace. Funeral today (Saturday) following 11 o'clock Mass in the Church of the Annunciation, Rathfarnham to Mount Venus Cemetery. House strictly private please. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Our Lady's Hospice; Harolds Cross or The Irish Cancer Society. Their kindness and support have much been appreciated.

O'CONNELL Mary (Rathfarnham, Dublin 14) died February 25, 2010 - On Mary's first anniversary, Noel, Susan and Michele, and her sisters Mairead and Helen, wish to express our sincere thanks to all who sympathised with us on our sad loss. Your tremendous kindness and many thoughtful gestures, cards and letters, both during Mary's illness and following her death, were very much appreciated. The large attendance at Mary's removal and funeral and the guard of honour provided by her friends from Edmondstown Golf Club were a great tribute to her. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who cared for Mary so well, both at the Beacon Hospital and during the special weeks we had with her at home, and to our family, neighbours and friends for their ongoing support. Mary was a wonderful wife, mum, granny, sister and friend who is very sadly missed, but remembered every day with love and affection.
