O'HEGARTY Diarmuid (Dalkey) - June 13, 2010 at St. Vincent's Private Hospital; deeply regretted by his loving wife Elizabeth, devoted children Fionnuala (Hatton), Diarmuid, Rhona (O'Hegarty-Ruf) and Loyola (Murphy) and beloved granddad of Peter, Iain, Rachael, Kevin, Richard, Steven, Diarmuid, Rebecca, Matthew and Aiden and grandfather-in-law of Eimear: sadly missed by his sister Loyola, daughter-in-law Yvonne, sons-in-law Freddie, Franz and Gay, the Whelan, Curran & Cullen families, relatives and friends especially those in Belvedere and Carrickmines. Removal to the Church of the Assumption, Dalkey this (Wednesday) morning arriving at 11.20 o'c for 11.30 o'c Mass and thence Funeral to St. Patrick's Churchyard, Glencullen. Family flowers only please donations in lieu if desired to the Peter McVerry Trust or Belvedere Youth Club, Buckingham Street. "Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilís"

<p>From Chicago, Illinois</p> <p>Elizabeth, D.D., and family,</p> <p>Kathleen and I send to you our deepest sympathy. We were so sorry to learn of Diarmuid's illness and loss. He was such a good-looking gentleman and was always so kind to Audrey, Kathleen and me. We had some very nice times together and will always hold those memories dear.I especially remember the time we all went up to your home in Dalkey and the lovely evening we had with both of you. And that was only one time because we remember your trips here as well with great fondness. I also never heard him say anything negative about anyone. Diarmuid was always gracious.
