CLEARY, Prof John J. (late of Harold's Cross, Dublin and Ballycroy Co. Mayo) who died at St. Vincent's Hospital on April 12, 2009 - We his family wish to thank most sincerely John's many friends, relatives, neighbours, students and colleagues (from Maynooth University and Boston College), who eased the burden of his illness during the final months of his life and supported us so wonderfully at the time of his death. We would like to express our appreciation to the medical teams at St. Vincent's and St. James's Hospitals who gave true commitment to his welfare. John was laid to rest in the family grave of his deceased wife Breda (née Critchley) in Portlaoise. Our heartfelt thanks to the priests who concelebrated John's Funeral Mass and all those who attended or sent messages of condolence. Mass will be offered for your intentions.
