WHELAN Richard J. (R. J.) (Brittas Bay, Co. Wicklow and late of Dun Laoghaire) - September 30, 2009, peacefully, at St. Columcille's Hospital, pre-deceased by his loving wife Grace whom he missed to distraction, loving father of Clarence, Richard, Fergus, David, Dolores, Muriel and Pauline and brother of Maureen; sadly missed by his daughters-in-law Siobhan and Joan and friend Nora, sons-in-law Roy and Eamon, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, friends and his Brittas Bay circle of pals. The family wish to thank the staff and his friends at Blainroe Nursing Home where he enjoyed his last 8 months. (Someone else will have to run the film club). Reception Prayers this (Friday) evening at 7 o'clock in the Star of the Sea Church, Brittas Bay. Requiem Mass tomorrow (Saturday) at 10 o'clock followed by private cremation. House strictly private.
