PURCELL (David) (Davy) (Grannagh, Waterford) (September 27, 2004) - Violet, Cathy and Edmond Purcell, sisters Anna Norris, Mary Henderson, nieces and nephews, and brothers-in-law would like to sincerely thank all those who sympathised with us on the sudden tragic loss of a wonderful man. All those who personally called to our home, phoned, sent Mass Cards, sympathy cards, letters and Mass bouquets and floral tributes, all who travelled from far and bear to be with us at the removal and funeral. A sincere thanks for the meaningful and thoughtful eulogy from his friends. To all emergency services who attended the accident and especially to Garda Martin Whitely for his kindness and compassion. Thanks to all our neighbours, families and friends. A special thank you to the Walsh family (Tinlough). To Canon Brian Flynn P.P., Fr Thomas O'Toole (Kilmacow), Rev. George Cliffe, Rector Piltown, Fr Pascal Moore P.P., Fr John Condon, (Piltown), Fr Tom Rodgers (Waterford) and Fr Kieran O'Driscoll (Cork). To Kilmacow Church Choir, W.I.T. Music students and the girls from St Joseph's National School. A sincere word of appreciation to Joe Byrne, Undertaker (Fiddown) for his professional and sympathetic handling of the funeral arrangements, and to the Kilmacow Parish Catering Committee. A very special thank you to all Davy's very loyal and wonderful friends, boating comrades and our esteemed business associates for their help during those days and for their continued support. Thanks to all who donated to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this Acknowledgement as a token of our gratitude. Mass has been offered for all your intentions.
