O'CONOR, Nick (died February 23, 2007) - On the first anniversary of Nick's death, Betty, their children, grandchildren and his brothers and sisters wish to thank all those who sympathised with them on their sad loss. We extend our gratitude to the staff in Elm Ward, St Vincent's Hospital, Myriam and the Wicklow Palliative Care group, District Nurse Fidelma, the nursing team from Kildare, Dr. Nick Breen, Greystones Medical Centre and the staff of the Blackrock Hospice, all of whom treated Nick with such care and dignity during his illness. We are grateful to the friends and colleagues who supported Nick, especially during his last few weeks. We thank all who shared in the services of Thanksgiving for Nick's life, his brothers Fr Joe and Fr Pat, his nephew Fr Joe and Fr Enda and Fr Denis of Greystones parish, the communities of the Columban and Kiltegan Fathers and clergy who attended. Thank you also to Yvonne and the choir and all those who travelled to be with Nick and the family on his final journey. To those who shared their memories with us, at the services, by letter or by phone, who sent Mass cards or certificates of enrolment, these have been a source of comfort to us all. We appreciate the welcome extended to us by the parish of Kilmore Quay for Mass before Nick's ashes were scattered at sea. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions. All donations to Greystones Cancer Support and the Blackrock Hospice are gratefully acknowledged.
