McEVOY Rev Professor James (died October 2, 2010). Augustin (Lausanne, Switzerland), Patrick (Derry) and Peter (Dublin) together with our families and the wider family circle wish to express our sincere gratitude to all who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement. To those who attended the funeral liturgies and who sent cards, letters and other messages of condolence we are deeply grateful. We wish to record very special thanks to the Bishops and Priests of the Diocese of Down and Connor for their kindness and inspiration, to the Seminary community at St. Malachy's College, and to all of the care-givers of Our Lady's Home Beechmount, Belfast, the City Hospital Cancer Centre, the home-based services and others who assisted Fr Jimmy during his illness, borne with prayerful acceptance. A commemorative Mass of Thanksgiving for Fr Jimmy's life and work will take place in St MacNissi's Church, Agnew Street, Larne on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 7.30 pm. Requiescat in pace.
