BRENNAN, Patrick K. (Artane, late Department of Agriculture, died July 27, 2010) — On the first Anniversary of Pat's death, his wife Teresa (Treas), children, grandchildren, sisters Anne Sweeney and Sheila D'Arcy and extended family wish to thank all who sympathised with them on such a sad occasion. We thank all who came from far and near, some at great inconvenience, to visit our home and to attend his funeral, those who showed their respect and friendship for Pat in so many ways by sending Mass Cards, letters, phone calls, emails, from within Ireland, England, Portugal, Spain, the U.S.A. , Canada and Australia. We would like to express our appreciation for the care and attention he received from Raheny Medical Centre, particularly from Dr. Lynch, also St. Francis Hospice care team and the local HSE Home Care assistance. We want to thank Staffords Funeral Directors for their concern, care and sensitivity in handling all the arrangements. We remember with much appreciation the Parish Team of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Artane Fathers, Peter, James and Sr. Bernie, the lay readers and Ministers of the Eucharist, those who provided the music, the voluntary team of caterers who gave so generously of their time, also the flower arranger. To those friends and neighbours who were at all times generous with their help and support, during and after the funeral and in the months that followed since Pat's death we owe a debt of gratitude. To all who helped to make Pat's funeral a celebration of his life, not least the neighborhood children we express our sincerest thanks. Mass will be offered for your intentions. As we sometimes reminisce, no one would have appreciated the occasion as much as Pat, had he been there, but he surely was present in spirit. May he rest in peace. We sometimes wonder if he can resist telling God how to look after the Garden of Paradise!
