TOOLAN, Sr. Rhona

TOOLAN, Sr. Rhona - a Sister of St. Louis for 63 years - December 15, 2009, at Louisville Convent, Woodland Hills, CA, USA. Born in 1927 in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim, Ireland, Sister Rhona entered religious life in 1946. She taught in elementary and high schools both in Ireland and California. Her ministries also included religious education, parish ministry, and community development. Sister Rhona is mourned by the Sisters of St. Louis; Associates of the Sisters of St. Louis; her sister, Yvonne Flynn of Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim, Ireland, and Yvonne's sons, Peter (Joan), Morgan (Anne), Shane (Susan) and Marcus (Charlotte); nieces and nephews; grandnephews and grandnieces; relatives, and friends. Funeral Mass was held at 10 am on Friday, December 18 at St. Mel Church, Woodland Hills, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Culver City.
