My dearest Auntie Maude

I had missed our overseas chats these past few years but am so grateful to have had the chance to see her on my last visit. Such an important part of my own history is now gone but I believe Heaven's welcome will be loud enough to shake the daffodils here on Earth! Always in my heart.

Aunt Maud

Aunt Maud was a lovely person, great fun, a great story teller and always beautifully dressed. She was my mum's sister and the last of my aunts. My sympathy to Roberts, Rosemary and all the family. Anne Kerr

from Peter Brown in Donabate

Dear Rosemary, Allen & Roberta

I am very sorry to read of the death of your mother in today's Irish Times. You probably won't remember me, but I spent some holiday's in Ramelton, when we stayed with Albert McNeight and family on our holidays in the late 1950's and early 1960's. I spent a lot of time playing with your brother Claude ( I didn'tknow that he had died). I have many happy memories of those holidaysand your mother's kindness and freiendliness of your mother, who befriended me and kept me well fed during the day.

Please accept my sincere condolenceson your mother's passing. She will be sorely missed by you all , but, at leastyou will be sustained with the memories of happy times in your mother's life and times.

Due to the distance I will be unable to attend the funeral, but ny thoughts and prayers will be with you at the time.

Peter Brown
