MAHER, Gerard F. (12th November, 2007) - On the first anniversary of his passing, Attracta, children and family would like to express our deepest appreciation to our friends, neighbours, colleagues and those who supported us by their presence, Masses offered, prayers and thoughtful cards during his illness, later in our bereavement and indeed during the past year. The love, kindness and compassion experienced by each one of us has been (in Gerry's words) "Tremendous" and will always be treasured. In particular we thank his brothers Jim and Ronnie, and our extended family, especially Father Fintan Brennan-Whitmore O.H, Sr Joanna Brennan-Whitmore I.B.V.M, all the priests of St Theresa's Church, Mount Merrion and also Monsignor Ardle McMahon and Fr John Jacobs who concelebrated his Requiem Mass. A special thanks from all of us to the members and staff of Clontarf Golf Club. In addition all of us want to express our heartfelt thanks to his surgeon and Medical Staff of the Mater Hospital. With special gratitude to our good friend Dr Barry Kelleher. Also Dr Attracta Heffernan, the staff of the Blackrock Hospice and Nurse Bridget Timmons of the Cancer Foundation, who helped us care for Gerry at home. We ask Gods blessing on everyone of you. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for intentions.
