BOURKE (de Búrca), Marcus, (Clontarf) March 2, 2010, at the Mater Hospital after a short illness. Pre-deceased by his wife Phyllis and sister Joan. Deeply regretted by his sons Richard, Raymond and John, sister Eileen, brother Seán, grandchildren Stephen, Shane and Cillian, niece Jackie, daughter-in-law Katherine, sister-in-law Stella, and his many friends and colleagues including those at Independent Newspapers, the Attorney-General's Office, the Law Reform Commission, the GAA, Tipperary Historical Society, and his fellow historians and authors. Special thanks for all their care to the entire Clontarf Homecare team, St Anthony's Clontarf, and the wonderful staff of the Mater Hospital. May he rest in peace. Reposing at Kirwan's Funeral Home, Fairview Strand from 3 o'clock this (Friday) afternoon with Removal at 4.15 o'clock to St Laurence O'Toole Church, Kilmacud, arriving at 5 o'clock Funeral Mass tomorrow (Saturday) at 10 o'clock followed by a brief service at Mount Jerome Crematorium.Memorial Mass at a later date in St Michael's Church, Tipperary Town. Family flowers only.
