NICHOL (Gordon Guthrie) (died December 30, 2004) - The family of Gordon would like to express our sincere appreciation to all those who sympathised with us in our sad loss. We are especially indebted to each and every friend of Gordon who talked with him daily, visited him, helped him with great kindness and kept up his spirits; that will live long in our memory. May we also thank the medical profession for everything that was done to give Gordon such quality of life during his illness. We would mention Doctor James O'Neill, the many doctors and nurses at the Adelaide and Meath Hospital, St James' Hospital, the Home Care team at Our Lady's Hospice and the Community Nurses. We would also like to pay tribute to Gordon's long established business clients, his Friendly Brothers, his Georgian Society friends, his business colleagues and his fellow members at the Kildare Street and University Club; all who supported him so magnificently. Our thanks go to The Dean of St Patrick's Cathedral The Very Reverend Robert McCarthy, The Dean's Vicar of Christchurch Cathedral Reverend Mark Gardiner and The Very Reverend Aidan Jones who provided pastoral service in accordance with Gordon's wishes. Thanks also to Carnegie's, Funeral Directors and the Kildare Street and University Club who ensured that all funeral arrangements went off smoothly and with great dignity on the day. Thank you all.
