MULQUEEN (John) (Gortfree Lodge, Tourmakeady, Co. Mayo and late of Kilrush, Co. Clare) (Died February 4, 2006) - On the first anniversary of John's death, his wife Rose, daughters Suzanne, Yvonne, Maureen, Grace, Clare, Clodagh, Joan and extended family sincerely thank all those who sympathised with and supported us at the time of our great and sudden loss. We thank everyone who attended John's removal and funeral Mass, many of whom travelled long distances. Sincere thanks to all who sent Mass Cards and letters of sympathy. We acknowledge with gratitude the unwavering support and kindness of relatives, friends and neighbours. Thanks to the staff and students of N.U.I. Galway and John's many colleagues in Teagasc, especially Michael Rodgers (N.U.I.G.) and Tim Gleeson (Teagasc). We are indebted to Dr. Cyril Rooney and the medical and nursing staff at Mayo General Hospital who cared so attentively for John during his brief illness. We are extremely grateful to everyone who generously contributed to the 'John Mulqueen Respiratory Fund' at Mayo General Hospital. A special word of thanks to Fr. Pádraig Standún, Tourmakeady, for his kindness and for celebrating John's funeral Mass assisted by Fr. Joe Haugh, Fr. Des Grogan, Mgr. Joseph Quinn and Fr. Richard Gibbons. As it would be impossible to thank you all individually please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation and gratitude. The holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. "Ní bheidh a leithéad ann arís"
