EGAN, Sean (April 2, 2008) - Today, on the first anniversary of Sean's passing, Anne, Sean's wife and daughters Marian, Alberta, Kathy, Annette, son Tom and extended family wish to thank all those who sympathised with and supported them in their sad loss of a dear husband, father, brother and grandad. We especially thank the doctors and nurses in the Oncology Unit of Tallaght Hospital and also the staff at Our Lady's Hospice, Harolds Cross with a special mention for Sr Helen Cunningham, all of whom gave great care and support during his illness. Great appreciation is also extended to all those who visited Sean over a 20 month period both in hospital and in his final days at the hospice, and to the many who subsequently attended the funeral, particularly those who travelled long distances to pay their respects. Finally a special word of thanks for Fr P.J. Cassidy, erstwhile Chaplain of Tallaght Hospital, who concelebrated the funeral Mass. P.J. provided great continuous spiritual support and indeed some much needed lighthearted laughter to Sean throughout his illness, which was greatly appreciated by all.Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
