HUMPHREYS (Maura) (Died on September 20, 2004) (First Anniversary and Acknowledgement) - Maura's family Fiona, John and Brendan would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to all those who were of such great support and comfort to us during Maura's short illness and untimely death. We would like to thank the people who sent Mass Cards, letters of sympathy, floral tributes, made contributions to St Francis Hospice and those who took the time to be with us at the removal and funeral. A very special thank you to those who sent get-well cards and letters of support to Maura while she was ill; they were of great comfort and gave Maura the determination to continue with her chemotherapy, despite becoming increasingly fragile. A special thank you to the Sisters of Mercy, especially Sr Kathleen O'Keeffe, for always remembering Maura in their prayers. Thank you to Fr Frank Caffrey and Fr Eugene Curran for concelebrating the funeral Mass and to Paul Lyons, Pauline Masterson and the members of St Audeon's choir for their beautiful singing. Special thanks are also due to Maeve O'Connor, Bernadette Dunne, Mary McDonagh and Therese Guerin for being such wonderful neighbours and friends. We are especially grateful to all the nurses and staff at Beaumont Hospital Oncology Department and St Clare's Ward for their care and assistance. We would like to pay a very special tribute to the wonderful staff at St Francis Hospice who nursed Maura with such dedication and compassion. Your kindness will never be forgotten. It would be impossible for us to thank so many other people individually, so we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by you all as a token of our deep appreciation and gratitude.
