O'BRIEN - John (Bray, Co. Wicklow) (IT&GWU/SIPTU) – October 2, 2026, peacefully in the arms of his daughters, while in the exceptional care of Blackrock Hospice. Predeceased by his beloved wife Anne and his parents Teresa and Patrick. Deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his adored daughters Rachelle and Hazel, cherished grandsons Samuel and Benjamin, son-in-law Keith, extended family, friends, and his many colleagues from his lifelong service to the labour movement. Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray today Thursday, (October 8) from 4.00pm to 6.00pm. John will take his final walk through Bray Main Street tomorrow Friday, (October 9) at 11.00am from the Town Hall to the funeral home, where a Funeral Service and Celebration of Life will take place at 12 noon followed by burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Little Bray.
