CLANCY - Bríd (Nic Fhlannchadha) (Castletroy, Limerick). The family of the late Bríd Clancy (Nic Fhlannchadha) wish to thank all those who sympathised with them on Bríd’s passing. We appreciate all those who attended her reposing, Removal and Funeral Mass. We were touched by those who wrote letters, condolences and sent Mass cards. Thank you to Fr. John O’Shea for officiating at her Funeral Mass, her former clerical colleagues from St. Munchin’s College who concelebrated and Fr. Richard Davern for prayers on reception in the church. We would like to thank Bishop Brendan Leahy for his attendance at the Funeral Mass, for officiating at the bidding prayers and his words of appreciation of Bríd’s work in Lourdes and in the parish. Thank you to Eve Stafford, soloist, for her enrichment of the liturgy. We thank all Bríd’s professional colleagues from the State Examinations Commission, The Irish Department in Mary Immaculate College and her former colleagues from St Munchin’s College for their support. A very special thank you to Dr John O’Brien, Doon, who advised and guided her through many years of poor health. To the nursing staff in the Fibrosis ward, UHL your kind and gentle touch in her final weeks will be forever remembered. We wish to thank Professor Feargal Twomey and the palliative care team in Milford Care Centre for their exceptional care in ensuring that her final days were comfortable. We wish to acknowledge Bríd’s lifelong friends including those from Lourdes Hospitality whose loyalty, warmth and care never faltered. Finally thank you to Thompson, Funeral Undertakers for their help and professionalism in arranging the Funeral. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
