DOWNS - Moira (née O’Reilly) (Killiney, Co. Dublin, formally of Merrion Square, Dublin and Enniscorthy, Wexford), August 11, 2026. Peacefully, in St Vincent’s University Hospital, A&E and previously under the excellent and kind care of St Columba’s Ward at St Michael’s Hospital, Kilmacud Medical Centre, Dalkey Public Health team and InisCare Home Care Team. Predeceased by her husband Raymond (2021). Moira will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family, friends, incredible neighbours and the Dun Laoghaire Parish Team at St Michael’s Church. Moira will be reposing on Monday (August 17) from 3pm to 5pm in Carnegies Fanagans Funeral Home, Monkstown, A94XK28. Funeral Mass on Tuesday (August 18) at 11.30am in Sts. Alphonsus and Columba Church, Church Avenue, Ballybrack followed by cremation in the Garden Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harolds Cross. No flowers please. Donations, in lieu, if desired to Parkinson’s Ireland.
