MONGEY - Bernie Mongey, (née Cooney), 19th July 2026, Sarnaught, Castlebar and late of Bridge Street, Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff in Mayo Hospice, Castlebar, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Delia Cooney. Sadly missed by her heartbroken husband Iarla, daughters Deirdre, Dairín, Eavan and Bernie, sons Eamon, Iarla, Cathal and Tiernan, sisters Patricia Mc Partland and Frances, sons-in-law Will, Rory, Greg and Bernie’s partner Declan, daughters-in-law Lucianne, Caroline and Hilda, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace. Bernie will repose in Coady’s Funeral home, Castlebar, F23 XY63, on Tuesday (21st July) from 5pm with removal at 7pm to her residence. Removal from her residence on Wednesday morning at 10.15 a.m. for Requiem Mass at 11.30 a.m. in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar followed by burial afterwards in Castlebar Old Cemetery.
