GIBSON, Sylvia (née Sargent) (Dun Laoghaire Co. Dublin, formerly Oldcastle, Co Meath) – June 30, 2026, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and in the tender care of Fern Dean Nursing Home. Beloved wife of the late Thomas, loved and loving mother of Ian, Lynda and Kathryn, mother-in-law of Gethyn and James, sister of the late Eileen, sister-in-law of Muriel and her husband John and much-adored grandmother of Samantha, Sarah, Karyn and Aly. Sadly missed and remembered fondly by her nieces, nephews, wider family and friends. Funeral Service on Saturday 4th July at 11 am in St Matthias’ Church, Ballybrack, followed by burial in Loughcrew Churchyard, A82 N225, Oldcastle, Co. Meath, at approx. 1.45 pm. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Breakthrough Cancer Research.
