Ó COCHLÁIN - COUGHLAN, Dr. Breandán (Brendan), Corcullen, Galway. The death has occurred peacefully at home on June 21, 2026, of Dr. Breandán Ó Cochláin, Corcullen, Galway. Retired Professor of Physical Chemistry, NUIG. Beekeeping Educator, Mentor and Examiner. Predeceased by his parents, May and Bill. Now reunited with his beloved wife Josephine, whom he deeply mourned. Deeply regretted by his brother John Coughlan, sister Bernadette Zelman, daughter Seosaimhín Ní Ríada, sons Dr. Brendan Ó Cochláin, Galway Clinic, Dr. Ciarán Ó Cochláin PhD Cantab/USA, Dr. Fearghas Ó Cochláin, Mayo Clinic USA, grandchildren Liadáin, Fiachra, Clíona, Aífe, Lasair, Fionnúir and Ailill, daughters-in-law Maria and Val, son-in-law Tim, brothers-in-law Dr. Breandán MacConamhna and Mike Reddy, sister-in-law Pat Reddy, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at Aiseirí Funeral Home, H91 Y54A, Moycullen, on Monday, June 29, from 5 pm to 6.30 pm, followed by removal to St. James’s Church, Bushypark, H91 A5V2. Requiem Mass, 11 am, Tuesday, June 30. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery with Josephine.
