NICHOLSON, (née Goodbody) Eleanor (Shankill and formerly of Glenageary, Dundrum and Rochestown Ave., Dublin) – May 3, 2020, peacefully, in her 91st year, at Beechfield Manor Nursing Home, Shankill. Very dearly loved and loving wife of the late Jim and mother of Duncan, Robert, Jenny (Donohoe) and Tim, mother-in-law and friend to Elizabeth, Roslyn, Michael and María, special grandmother to Anna and Konrad, Dorothy and Sam, Simon, Rachel and Zoë, Jon and Emma, great-granny of Abigail, Olivia, Esther, Lydia, Emily and Caleb, dear sister of Janet and the late John, Donald and Ivan and sister-in-law of Daphne, Heather, Charlotte and the late Alec. Her family particularly wish to thank all the wonderful staff at Beechfield Manor for their extraordinary care of Mum over the past 2 years and especially for their kindness to all of us during these last few days. In keeping with government advice regarding public gatherings, a private family funeral and burial will be held at Friends Burial Ground Temple Hill, Blackrock on Thursday May 7 at 11.00 am.
