LUMSDEN, Fr David (Former Parish Priest of Edenmore and Grange Park and formerly of Clondalkin, Cabra West and Ballyfermot parishes) - August 30, 2020 peacefully after a short illness in the wonderful care of the devoted staff of St Gabriel’s Nursing Home, Edenmore and prior to that by Beaumont Hospital. He will be very sadly missed by his brothers Gerard, John, Peter, Dominic and Paul; sisters-in-law Mary, Dolores, Colette and Paula; his nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, his Grace the Archbishop and the priests of the Dublin Diocese, extended family and his wide circle of friends in all of his parishes. Reposing at Bourke’s Funeral Home, 71 Queen Street, Dublin 7 tomorrow (Wednesday) evening from 5o’c until 7oc’ (Social distancing and face coverings required). A private family funeral will take place at 10o’c on Thursday morning in St Monica’s Church, Edenmore which can also be viewed on the parish website (stbenedicts-stmonicas.ie) with burial afterwards at Deans Grange Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Barnardos Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
