JOYCE - Very Reverend Canon Michael Joyce (March 15, 2021 retired Parish Priest of Curry, Swinford and Bohola formerly of St Patrick's College, Swinford and St Nathy's College Ballaghaderreen). Peacefully in Mayo General Hospital, Castlebar after a short illness.

Son of the late Jennie and Michael Joyce Providence Rd, Foxford. Predeceased by his brothers Walter and Anthony. Deeply mourned by his sister Eleanor McGuinness (Ballisodare), Tommie (Foxford), sisters-in-law Marie (Foxford), Phil (Dublin), nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, Bishop Paul Dempsey, Priests and Religious, Parishioners, former colleagues, students and a wide circle of friends. Removal from Clarkes Funeral Home, Foxford on Thursday at 2pm via Providence Road / Chapel Road and Bohola village to arrive to Our Lady Help of Christians Church Swinford via Main Street for funeral Mass at 3pm followed by burial in the Church grounds.

I was privileged to have Fr Michael teach me in secondary school, he was an inspiring teacher, who was always prepared for his classes, a solid citizen, and a transparentl​y Good Man. He was open, approachable​, fair. RIP
