RING - Diarmaid – Carhan and Renard, Caherciveen, Co. Kerry and Castlepark, Ballincollig, Co. Cork passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2021 - Emer, Brendan and Deirdre Ring together with Jerry, Siobhán, Vince, Gavan, Nicola, Iseult, Kevin, Rosie, Henry, Clara, Ava, Dylan, his deceased parents Owen and Claire and the wider Ring family would like to sincerely thank all those who showed such great kindness to us following the unexpected passing of our beloved brother, brother-in-law, uncle, grand-uncle, son and friend on April 13, last. We were humbled and greatly comforted by the extraordinary number of messages of condolence, sympathy cards, Mass cards, letters, emails, texts, phone calls and acts of kindness during those exceptionally sad days. We would especially like to acknowledge the incredible kindheartedness of so many people in Caherciveen and Renard, Mary Immaculate College, Limerick University College Cork and Diarmaid’s neighbours in Castlepark, Ballincollig. Like many others who have experienced profound loss at this time, COVID placed many constraints on how we could celebrate Diarmaid’s life and wonderful achievements. Diarmaid had bravely struggled with his mental health all of his life and generously advocated and supported many others along a pathway, which is so often littered with much pain and suffering. Diarmaid had campaigned tirelessly for greater resourcing of our mental health system, with a view to making life better for others, a need, which has never been more important to address, than in these times. What shines through in all of the messages from those whose lives Diarmaid touched are his courage, kindness, goodness, wisdom and compelling sense of humour. We ask that you keep Diarmaid in your thoughts and prayers and remember him for the sunshine he brought to this world. We will remember all of your kindnesses at a celebration of Mass for your intentions.

Buiochas ó chroí.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
