KEATING - Peter, Coolock, Dublin. It’s one year since we lost Peter, former Branch Secretary FWUI/SIPTU, soldier, campaigner for free education, and fighter for justice. Peter’s fight to improve working conditions and make the world a better place was exemplified by his service on the Barrington Commission and his time on the first Board of the HSA. A man whose life improved the life of so many people, the ‘old warrior’ fought and won may battles in his life, but sadly succumbed to Covid-19 on May 6, 2020. On the occasion of his first anniversary, Peter's wife Mary, daughters Frances and Maura, sons Ken and Peter, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren, would like to express their deep gratitude and appreciation to all who sent messages of sympathy, cards, letters, and emails which were a consolation, and a reminder of how loved and respected Peter was by his friends all over the world. A special thanks to all the team in Beaumont dialysis unit who cared for Peter so well over the last three years of his life.
