CARDOO - Joan Freda passed away peacefully January 25, 2022 at The Ulster Hospital Belfast after a short illness. Devoted wife for 60 years of the late John Cardoo. Together again.

Wonderful mother to daughter Jackie and son Garnet.

Sister of Grace and Beulah. Extended family, Andy, Stuart and Scott, Jess and Heidi in Australia. Rachel, Paula, Raul, Jimmy, Fernanda and families Brazil/Claremorris. A service of Thanksgiving will take place in Knock Presbyterian Church, Belfast on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. The service will be livestreamed on the church YouTube Channel. Family flowers only please. Donations may be sent if desired to NI Hospice c/o S. Clarke & Son Funeral Directors, 12 Court Square, Newtownards BT23 7NY. She will be missed enormously. I.O.B.

Joan was a dear friend and mentor to me even though we lived far across the pond from one another. She taught me many things for life and faith. One of the truest and most unforgettable “Joanism’s” I’ve tried to emulate, “When God gives you five minutes use them!”
