My condolences to the Higgins family. I only met Leo occasionally over many years since he cast my fathers statue of De Valera and also he actually cast some of mine when I had shut my own place for a couple of years in 2000. More recently Leo and cast did some sand casting for us as well. I always thought that he would go on casting forever. He will be greatly missed. May he Rest In Peace.

So very sad to learn of Leo's passing. A truely wonderful human of whom I was extremely fond. First met him over 30 years ago in NCAD. Subsequently in Cast, where he made me feel so welcome, as a shy would be sculptor. Always so kind, calm, respectful, encouraging and wise. Such a huge loss. Sending you,his family, my very sincere condolences. My heart is with you at this extremely sad time x

Deepest and heartfelt sympathies to Leo's family. A good and generous man. The world is a lesser place when an artist leaves us. RIP Leo.
