Michael was a free thinker in an age of conformity and fear. I will miss the times we spent discussing philosophy, religion and politics. Always generous and kind and with a sparkle in his eyes, he was a special person.

Michael was my neighbour and friend. He was kind and dependable. He had a fine mind and a wry sense of humour. Missed by us, he will be cherished by all the people he meets on the other side.
