CLANCY James (Ashbourne, Co. Meath and formerly Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan) - March 4, 2018. Jim's wife Margaret, sons James, Paul, Colm and daughter Orla and their families, wish to thank all who sympathised with us on our great loss, sent Mass cards, letters, messages of sympathy and made donations to St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown. Thank you to all who visited our home, attended Jim's funeral and who travelled long distances to be with us. Sincere thanks to Doctor Pat Watson, Ashbourne and his team, to Professor John McCaffrey and the doctors, nurses and staff of the Mater, Mater Private and James Connolly Hospitals, St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown, Meath Specialist Palliative Care Service, HSE, Home Instead and Family Carers Ireland. We especially thank Fr. Enda McDonagh and Fr. Derek Darby for concelebrating Mass and making it so personal. We thank Niamh Browne and David Leddy for their beautiful rendering of Jim's favourite hymns and music, the members of Ashbourne Golf Club for the Guard of Honour at the Church and Fr. Ciaran Clarke and Fr. Michael Hinds for their support and friendship to Jim during his illness. Thank you to Stuart and Simon Collier of Colliers Funeral Directors for their support and help with the funeral arrangements. We thank our family, friends, neighbours and all who continue to care for us with gentle kindness. Jim was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam
