BANNISTER (Ted) (1918 - 2018)-
WESTLAND ROW
I got out when the traffic cleared,
At Trinity Gate I turned to watch Dad
go,
His car moved out, then disappeared,
Off to the left and down thru Westland
Row.
"I'll meet you at the gate at one" he
said,
I hear him speak, though many a year
he's gone,
I see him scratching thoughtfully his
head,
Repeating a phrase from some 1940's'
song.
Sometimes, when I am passing by the
Gate,
Hoping Dad will show up, I still wait
Then in the traffic of my mind we go,
Off to the left and down thru Westland
Row.

If you were still with us, Dad, you would be one hundred years old today. Remembering you with love and never forgetting how you loved us. Your sons, Garry and Frank.
