WALSH Brendan Dermot - On this the First Anniversary (February 9, 2019) of Brendan's death, his wife Ruth, children Sinéad, Cara, Aifric and Oisín, sons-in-law, partners, grandchildren and siblings would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with us and supported us when we lost our beloved Brendan: husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. We really appreciate all those who celebrated his life with us, at his wake at home and at his memorial at Mount Jerome. As a former Dublin City Sheriff, Solicitor, founder of Irish Mountain Rescue and The Bum Bum Cycling Club, the anecdotes were many and varied, some not for print and all greatly enjoyed. Our thanks to those who wrote beautiful letters and cards, brought food, raised a glass, offered support, said kind words, and shared memories of a life very well lived. It was heartening to know that he would be so much missed. Brendan would have loved it all. Thanks to his GP Dr. Leonard Condren, Consultant Dr. Philip Murphy, and the nurses and staff of Beaumont Hospital for their compassion and kindness, in particular all in the Coleman K. Byrne Unit and St. Teresa's Ward. We are thankful for the support of The Irish Cancer Society and the Blackrock Palliative Care Team who eased a difficult time. We thank Fanagans Funeral Directors, Civil Celebrant, Padraic Cawley and the many family and friends who helped to create the perfect memorial of Brendan's life. For the generosity of the donations received in Brendan's memory, Mountain Rescue Ireland is grateful. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deep appreciation. Brendan is much missed and is remembered every day with love.
