Your Mum & Dad

Hi Heather Patrick Nicola & John

Please accept our deepest sympathies on the passing of your mum.

I have great and lovely memories of both your parents. I remember as a very young boy in the 50' after my father died, when mum was out working, he came to sit with us until mum came home. He used to do Janet's homework for her! Also we had some good times when you had the caravan in Donabate.

After your dad went to Baagnelstown they kept in touch and become good family friends. We greatly appreciated that they were regular visitors to mum when she was in St. John's.This friendship was maintained until mum died. To our delight he took mum's memorial & cremation in his usual gracious and friendly manner.

I also built up a long-lasting friendship with you all through the bells (at times in spite of Jack Miller's and Cyril Coy's best efforts!)

I was not able to attend your dad's funeral as I had to go to Belfast on the day and unfortunately I have to go again on Thursday for the same reason. Also Ann has to mind our three grandchildren tomorrow afternoon. This is for a meeting that has been arranged for some time and I can't avoid it. I visited your mum last summer and spend a happy time chatting about old times and as you know that both Heather a& Nicola were there. It was nice to catch up with you.

Once again please accept our apologies for not being able to be present with you to celebrate your mum's life. At 2:30 tomorrow I will join with you with a quiet thought and a prayer and we will both be with you in spirit.

However we will be ably represented by Janet.

Peter & Ann
