LONG Gerard M.R.C.V.S. (Lawlesstown Clonmel, Co. Tipperary) Died May 27, 2014. Gail, Jessica, Sarah and Elaine, together with Gerard's mother Maureen, his sisters Frances (O'Connor, Fethard), Rosemary (Hutch, Midleton), his brother Paddy (Ascot), his mother-in-law Ann (O'Dwyer, Dublin), his nieces and nephews and his extended family wish to thank all those who attended Gerard's funeral following his tragic and untimely death. We were overwhelmed by the vast numbers of people who came to our home, to the church, who sent Mass cards, letters and flowers. We are so thankful to all those who consoled us then and who continue to support us. Due to the huge number of you who came to be with us or who contacted us, it would be impossible to acknowledge the kindness of each one of you individually. We thank most sincerely our neighbours and friends who supported us in so many practical ways over the days of the funeral. We thank the ambulance and medical personnel who did their best for Gerard following the accident. We really appreciated Jasper detouring via Fethard to bring Gerard home. Our special thanks to Canon Crowley and the priests who concelebrated the funeral Mass. Being part of the choir in St. Peter and Paul's was very special to Gerard. We thank the choir for singing so beautifully at his funeral Mass. Thanks also to Liam and Natasha. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions. A remembrance Mass for Gerard will be held on Sunday, October 19, at 12.30 pm in St Peter & Paul's Church, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
