O'CONNOR Eric, Blackrock, Co. Dublin. Today on Eric's first anniversary, his parents James and Louise, sisters Eva and Jenny, brother Mark and Eric's extended family wish to extend their deepest thanks to all those who attended Eric's funeral, who sent Mass cards and many heartfelt letters and notes, who contributed so generously to Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin in Eric's memory and to all our friends and neighbours who have provided such tremendous support over the past difficult and sad year for our family. We thank all of the amazing staff at Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin, especially Prof Owen Smith, Lorna Storey and Dr Aengus O'Marcaigh. We also wish to thank our local doctor Marian McWade and pharmacist Mary Ryan. We especially would like to thank Eric's school Willow Park, his friends and classmates, for continuously keeping Eric in their thoughts and prayers and for organising fund raising events in his memory. We've been overwhelmed by the parents and everyone involved at Blackrock College RFC for organising the annual 'Eric O'Connor Festival Cup' and other events in Eric's honour. Likewise we have been very moved by the parents and everyone involved at Granada Soccer Football Club for remembering Eric through an annual Memorial Award. Thank you to the staff and pupils at Loreto Abbey Dalkey and at Booterstown Boys' School for remembering Eric in their special way and for their incredible support of Eric's siblings throughout the past year. Thank you to all colleagues and friends at Microsoft for their fantastic support. Finally, special thank you to Fr Bernard Tracey and also to everyone at Blackrock parish church for their kindness and support. We miss Eric terribly, he was a true hero and will always be with us."Only in the agony of parting do
we look into the depths of love"
- George Elliot.
