McGOWAN-SMYTH John (Jack) (formerly of Dublin, Luxembourg, Edinburgh) (January 18, 2017) - His wife Christine, children Graham, Jacqueline, Ian, Bob, Suzanne and Margaret, his eleven grandchildren, siblings Bill, Noreen and Andy as well as his extended family would like to extend their genuine thanks to everyone who attended the funeral services, sent Mass and sympathy cards and consoling letters and otherwise supported us in so many ways during Jack's final illness and at the time of his passing. We also very much appreciate the response of his colleagues from his official life in Dail Éireann, Seanad Éireann and the European Parliament both at home and abroad. As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we hope that you will accept this notice as an expression of our sincere gratitude and appreciation.
