GILLIGAN, Barbara (Killiney, Co Dublin and formerly of Clontarf, Dublin 3). February 19, 2023, peacefully and surrounded by her family in the wonderful care of Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross (and previously St Vincent’s Private Hospital) following a long illness courageously fought with positivity and humour. Beloved and devoted wife of Tony (Martyn), loving mother of Carly and Eoin, mother-in-law of Ronan, adored and cherished grandmother of Culann and Odhran. She will be deeply missed by her husband, children, son-in-law, grandsons, her sister Ann, brothers David and Mike, as well as her extended family and large circle of friends. Remembering also her late parents Harry and Vera and sister-in-law Yvonne. Reposing in the family home tomorrow (Thursday) from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Funeral ceremony in the National Maritime Museum of Ireland (Mariners’ Church), Dún Laoghaire at 11.00am on Friday (February 24). Burial afterwards at Shanganagh Cemetery, Shankill. The ceremony will be steamed live on https://livestream.absentfriends.ie/BarbaraGilligan No flowers please.
