HICKEY, Pierce (Percy) (The Square, Skibbereen) Ex-President, N.F.R.N. (R.O.I.) - On April 7, 2009, peacefully, at Marymount Hospice, Cork, in the presence of his devastated family, after a long illness borne with great bravery and good humour; to the inexpressible grief of his heartbroken wife and best friend Fionnghuala, daughters Clodagh (McCarthy), Sandra (O'Donovan), son Pierce, sons-in-law Adrian and John, grandchildren Alannah, Adrienna, Adam and Pierce, brothers Declan, Francis, Oliver and Tom, Anita, relatives and his large circle of friends. Reposing at Hurley's Funeral Home, Market Street today (Wednesday) from 4.30 o'clock to 6.30 o'clock with removal to St Patrick's Cathedral followed by Requiem Mass at 7.30 o'clock Liturgy of the Word tomorrow (Holy Thursday) at 2 o'clock Burial afterwards in the New Cemetery, Skibbereen. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Marymount Hospice. We would like to acknowledge the excellent care and support given by doctors, nurses and staff of Marymount Hospice to Percy and his family, also Dr Ger O'Shaughnessy and the Palliative Care, Bantry.May he rest in peace.
