DOUGLAS John Desmond (Des), (Rineroon, Greystones, Co. Wicklow. Formerly of Pfizer Animal Health, The Grange Golf Club, fishing and rugby alliances and so much more.) On the First Anniversary of Des's passing on June 30, 2019, we his family wish to thank you all sincerely for your consideration and support during his illness and your friendship throughout his life. Des was a 'people person' with many true friends. We want to thank the health-care professionals who looked after Des during the time spent in his final year in hospitals. The professionalism, love and care he was shown especially in the last few weeks of his life was truly remarkable. A very special thanks to Dr. Matt Barrett of The Beacon Clinic who took Des on as a 'special project' and did everything possible to aid his recovery. The overwhelming love and respect for Des was evident in the tributes from friends and colleagues from all over the country and further afield. Thanks to his many great friends, especially those in Greystones including Maura, Frieda, Billy and others. We owe an enormous debt of gratitude to Rev. David Mongavin of St Patrick's Church, Greystones for the friendship and guidance he bestowed on Des (and us) through good days and bad and the excellent way he helped to arrange the great celebration of Des's life (a life fully lived) giving him the send-off he deserved. A heartfelt thanks for your kind expressions of sympathy and support for our sad loss. Greatly missed
and forever in our thoughts.
