CASSIDY, Rev. Dr Eoin Gerard (late of St Mary’s, Haddington Road and Mater Dei Institute), March 10, 2021 at The Fern Dean Nursing Home, Blackrock. Beloved brother of Máirín. Predeceased by his twin brother Brian, his mother Doris and his father James. Deeply regretted by his many friends, relatives and colleagues. Rest in Peace. Due to current restrictions a private funeral will take place. Those who would have liked to attend but cannot may view the Funeral Mass at this link https://www.churchservices.tv/haddingtonroad at 10 am tomorrow (Saturday). Family flowers only please. I am very sorry to hear that Eoin has passed away, and greatly regret not discovering this until now. He was always a scholar and a gentleman (and great company). He gave me my very first break as a lecturer. The world is much poorer for his passing.

Our condolence Mairin on the loss of your brother and our cousin. Eoin was a terrific person and our kids had the privilege of him staying with us in Danvers, USA as well as officiating mass in our parish church. RIP Eoin. Des & Charlene
